Catching Academy Updates

Classes

Catching Academy Classes are designed to give catchers an all around approach to getting better.  Classes consist of a flexibility and mobility program as well as learning techniques in all fields of catching, most importantly stances, receiving, blocking, and throwing.  Classes give players a chance to learn on a weekly basis, but most importantly get high volume repititions that allow them to take what they have learned and apply it.  Reptitions allow catchers to feel comfortable behind the plate and trust the work they have put in.

Until we have reached a level comfort behind the plate, we cannot expect the best from ourselves as catchers and, more importantly, as LEADERS!

Classes are offered in separate age groups and in the following facilities:

"As hitters we take thousands of swings a week to swing the bat maybe 5 times a game.  Comparatively, how many repititions do we need as catchers who will see over 100 pitches a game?"
